1. Who we are

CareConnect is home care management software made by Idaho Sky Services, LLC, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. In this policy, “CareConnect,” “we,” “us” and “our” mean Idaho Sky Services, LLC and the CareConnect service.

2. What this policy covers

This policy explains how we handle information when you:

• visit this website, mycareconnect.us;
• contact us through the website, by email or by phone;
• receive email from us; or
• work for, or are served by, a home care agency that uses the CareConnect platform.

The CareConnect platform has its own, more detailed privacy policy, described in section 7.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Questions sent through our website form: your name, email address, your question, and, if you choose, the type of payer your agency bills.
• Emails and calls: whatever you choose to tell us, along with your name and contact details.
• Customer accounts: when an agency signs up, the business name, contact names, email addresses, phone numbers and billing details we need to set up and support the account.

Information collected automatically

• Server logs: like most websites, our servers record the IP address, browser type, pages requested and the date and time of each visit. We use these logs to keep the site working and secure.
• Cookies: this website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The CareConnect platform uses cookies only to keep you signed in and to protect your session.

Business contact information

To tell home care agencies about CareConnect, we use business contact details, such as an agency’s name, business email address and phone number, that agencies make publicly available.

4. How we use information

• To answer your questions and give you the information you ask for.
• To provide, support and improve CareConnect.
• To send account and service messages, such as password resets and important notices.
• To tell home care agencies about CareConnect by email.
• To keep our website and service secure and to prevent fraud and abuse.
• To meet our legal obligations.

5. Our emails to you

We send business email to home care agencies about CareConnect. These emails identify us and give you a simple way to opt out, either an unsubscribe link or a reply asking us to stop. When you opt out, we stop. You can also reply to any of our emails, or write to info [at] mycareconnect.us, and ask to be removed.

Account and service messages, such as password resets, are sent only to people who use CareConnect and are part of providing the service.

6. How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We share information only:

• With service providers who help us run our business, such as our hosting and email providers. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
• With insurance payers and claim clearinghouses, when an agency uses CareConnect to submit claims or check eligibility. We send them only what the agency directs us to send.
• When the law requires it, for example to answer a court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, the public or CareConnect.
• In a business transfer, if CareConnect is merged, sold or reorganized. Any successor must protect the information as this policy describes.

7. Data in the CareConnect platform

Home care agencies use CareConnect to record information about their clients and caregivers, including schedules, visit records, care notes, and billing and claim information. Some of it is health information.

• That information belongs to the agency. We process it only to provide CareConnect to that agency, and only as the agency directs.
• For client health information covered by HIPAA, the agency is the covered entity and CareConnect acts as its business associate.
• Each agency’s data is kept in its own separate database and is never shared with other agencies.
• We never use it for advertising.

If you are a client or caregiver of an agency that uses CareConnect, please contact the agency first about your information. We will help the agency respond to your request.

8. How we protect information

• All connections to this website and to CareConnect are encrypted (HTTPS).
• Access is limited by user role, and changes are recorded in an audit trail.
• Passwords are stored in hashed form, and sensitive credentials are encrypted.
• Data is backed up regularly.

No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected customers of a security incident as the law requires.

9. How long we keep information

We keep questions and emails for as long as we need them to help you and for our business records. Agency records in CareConnect are kept for as long as the agency’s account is active and as long as the law, payer rules or licensing rules require. When an agency closes its account, it can ask us to export or delete its data, subject to those record-keeping requirements. Backup copies are kept for a limited time and then overwritten.

10. Your choices and rights

• Stop our emails: click unsubscribe in any of our emails, or write to us.
• See, correct or delete your information: write to us and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm who you are first.
• Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The CareConnect platform needs its sign-in cookie to work.

11. Children

This website and our emails are meant for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will tell our customers directly.
